In Thursday's non-league test, the Thompson Warriors (Alabaster, AL) softball squad got by the visiting Hartselle Tigers (Hartselle, AL), by a count of 1-0.
Next, the Warriors meet the Tuscaloosa County Wildcats (Northport, AL) in a 7A Area 5 test, on Tuesday, April 1. Thompson will attempt to upgrade on its 23-2 season record.
The Tigers (6-8) will now prepare for their test against Ashville (Ashville, AL). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 14-6 record. In their last test, Ashville held off Etowah (Attalla, AL), 10-3, in a league test.
