Louisiana High School Softball - New Iberia Southside

March 20, 2025: Youngsville, LA

Southside Sharks (Youngsville, LA) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA), 7-3 in a league game.

With the triumph, Southside improves its record to 10-6 on the year. The Sharks travel to Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA) to play the Broncos in a 5A District 3 game on Tuesday, March 25. The Broncos enter the game with a record of 16-2. Sam Houston won 13-10 in their recent non-league game against Live Oak (Watson, LA)

The Yellowjackets now hold a 3-10 record. They play next when they travel to Notre Dame for a non-league game on Friday, March 21. New Iberia will play a Pioneers squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy (Lafayette, LA). The Pioneers record now stands at 15-0.
