The Sylvan Hills Bears overwhelmed the host Searcy Lions softball squad by a count of 10-5 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Bears meet the Mount St. Mary Academy Belles (Little Rock, AR) in a 5A Central challenge, on Tuesday, April 1. Sylvan Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Belles go into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Little Rock Southwest (Little Rock, AR).

The Lions (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Nettleton (Jonesboro, AR). The Raiders go into the 5A East challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Nettleton was routed by Greene County Tech (Paragould, AR), 18-0, in a league challenge.
