The Harleton Wildcats triumphed over the visiting Overton Mustangs baseball squad by a score of 8-2 in Friday's league test.

The Wildcats now own a 14-4 record. They take the field next when they host Ore City for a 2A Region III District 19 test on Tuesday, March 24. Harleton will clash with a Rebels team coming off a 9-4 league loss to Carlisle (Price, TX). The Rebels record now stands at 3-7.

With the defeat, Overton drops to 2-11 on the year. The Mustangs host Waskom (Waskom, TX) to clash with the Wildcats in a 2A Region III District 19 test on Tuesday, March 24. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 3-9. Waskom lost 10-0 in their recent league test against Beckville (Beckville, TX)
