Texas High School Baseball - Monterey defeats Plainview

The Monterey Plainsmen baseball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Plainview Bulldogs to 1 in the Plainsmen league win on Friday.

The Plainsmen now hold a 11-8 record. They take the field next when they host Caprock for a 5A Region I District 3 test on Saturday, March 21. Monterey will play a Longhorns squad coming off a 8-5 league win over Tascosa (Amarillo, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 6-11.

The Bulldogs (5-11) will now prepare for their outing against Amarillo (Amarillo, TX). The Sandies come into the 5A Region I District 3 outing with a 17-3 record. In their last outing, Amarillo tipped Coronado (Lubbock, TX), 8-1, in a league outing.
