North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC), 7-2 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, North Stanly advances its record to 4-3 on the season. The Comets travel to East Rowan (Salisbury, NC) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league match on Wednesday, March 25. The Mustangs come into the match with a record of 9-0. East Rowan won 4-2 in their recent non-league match against Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC)

The Cardinals now have a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Union Prep Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 24. Union Academy will play a Polar Bears team coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Metrolina Christian Academy (Indian Trail, NC). The Polar Bears record now stands at 0-1.
