In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Centennial Hawks softball team scored a tight 7-2 win over the Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls.
The Hawks (9-1) will now prepare for their match against Riverside (El Paso, TX). The Rangers come into the non-league match with a 10-10 record.
In their next game, the Cavemen/Cavegirls confront the Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, March 24. Carlsbad will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Wildcats come into the match with a 4-4 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM).
