The Halifax County Comets crushed the visiting Amherst County Lancers baseball team by a count of 14-6 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Comets now possess a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Magna Vista for a Piedmont bout on Friday, March 25. Halifax County will face a Warriors team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Chatham (Chatham, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-2.
