In Monday's non-league game, the visiting Giles Spartans baseball team scored a tight 9-2 victory over the Radford Bobcats.
The Spartans (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA). The Bears go into the Mountain Empire game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Bland County was overwhelmed by Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA), 10-2, in a non-league game.
The Bobcats (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Virginia High (Bristol, VA). The Bearcats go into the non-league game with a 1-1 record.
