Abernathy Antelopes (Abernathy, TX) followers were pleased Monday as they observed their softball team edge the host Childress Bobcats (Childress, TX), 9-8 in a league test.

Coming up next, the Antelopes clash with the Idalou Wildcats (Idalou, TX) in a 3A Region I District 2 test, on Saturday, March 26. Abernathy will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Wildcats come into the test with a 11-5 record after their 36-4 league win over Roosevelt (Lubbock, TX).

The Bobcats (4-8) will now prepare for their test against Tulia (Tulia, TX). The Hornets come into the 3A Region I District 2 test with a 6-5 record. In their last test, Tulia was tipped by Slaton (Slaton, TX), 21-11, in a league test.
