Spectators at Monday's league match between the Airline Vikings (Bossier City, LA) and the visiting Natchitoches Central Chiefs (Natchitoches, LA), witnessed Airline's softball squad tip Natchitoches Central by a count of 9-7.
The Vikings now sport a 10-6 record. They play next when they travel to Neville for a non-league match on Thursday, March 24. Airline will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 16-1 non-league loss to Forest (Forest, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 10-6.
With the loss, Natchitoches Central moves to 1-3 on the season. The Chiefs host Haughton (Haughton, LA) to meet the Buccaneers in a non-league match on Thursday, March 24. The Buccaneers go into the match with a record of 5-2.
