In Monday's non-league contest, the Brewer Patriots (Somerville, AL) softball team held off the host New Hope Indians (New Hope, AL), by a margin of 6-5.
With the triumph, Brewer moves its record to 10-4 on the year. The Patriots host Fairview (Cullman, AL) to play the Aggies in a 5A Area 14 contest on Wednesday, March 23. The Aggies come into the contest with a record of 2-6. Fairview lost 11-4 in their recent non-league game against Vinemont (Vinemont, AL)
In their next game, the Indians clash with the Grissom Tigers (Huntsville, AL) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 22. New Hope will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Tigers come into the game with a 4-6 record after their 12-2 non-league loss to Scottsboro (Scottsboro, AL).
