Alabama High School Softball - Central of Clay County gets by Shelby County

The Central of Clay County Volunteers got by the visiting Shelby County Wildcats softball squad by a count of 6-5 in Monday's league battle.

The Volunteers (4-5) will now prepare for their battle against Randolph County (Wedowee, AL). The Tigers go into the non-league battle with a 12-6 record. In their last battle, Randolph County nudged Wellborn (Anniston, AL), 12-2, in a non-league battle.

The Wildcats now sport a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Ramsay for a non-league battle on Thursday, March 24. Shelby County will meet a Rams squad coming off a 6-3 non-league loss to Homewood (Homewood, AL). The Rams record now stands at 9-3.
