Howard Tech Hustlin' Tigers (Chattanooga, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Chattanooga Central Pounders (Harrison, TN), 12-11 in a non-league challenge.

The Hustlin' Tigers now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to McMinn County for a 4A District 5 challenge on Tuesday, March 22. Howard Tech will face a Cherokees squad coming off a 5-2 league loss to Walker Valley (Cleveland, TN). The Cherokees record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Chattanooga Central falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Pounders host Signal Mountain (Signal Mountain, TN) to face the Eagles in a 3A District 6 challenge on Tuesday, March 22. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Signal Mountain lost 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Sequatchie County (Dunlap, TN)
