Forbush Falcons (East Bend, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC), 6-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host Walkertown for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 24. Forbush will battle a Wolfpack squad coming off a 20-2 league win over Reidsville (Reidsville, NC). The Wolfpack record now stands at 7-2.

With the loss, Starmount falls to 6-1 on the campaign. The Rams host Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC) to battle the Granite Bears in a Northwest 1A challenge on Tuesday, March 22. The Granite Bears enter the challenge with a record of 0-5. Mount Airy lost 3-0 in their recent league challenge against South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC)
