North Carolina High School Softball - Lumberton bounces Jack Britt

March 21, 2022: Lumberton, NC 28358

Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Jack Britt Buccaneers (Fayetteville, NC), 9-3 in a league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Douglas Byrd for a United Eight 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, March 22. Lumberton will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to South View (Hope Mills, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 0-7.

With the loss, Jack Britt falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Buccaneers host Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC) to battle the Colts in a United Eight 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, March 22. The Colts enter the challenge with a record of 7-0. Cape Fear won 7-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Midway (Dunn, NC)
