Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Kosciusko Whippets (Kosciusko, MS) and the host Lake Hornets (Lake, MS), witnessed Kosciusko's softball squad tip Lake by a count of 5-2.

The Whippets now sport a 10-2 record. They play next when they host Louisville for a 4A Region 4 match on Thursday, March 24. Kosciusko will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 18-1 league loss to Leake Central (Carthage, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Lake moves to 12-3 on the season. The Hornets travel to Pelahatchie (Pelahatchie, MS) to face the Chiefs in a 2A Region 6 match on Tuesday, March 22. The Chiefs go into the match with a record of 2-7.
