North Carolina High School Softball - North Stanly bounces Salisbury

The North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) softball routed the visiting Salisbury Hornets (Salisbury, NC), 17-1 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Comets (8-0) will now prepare for their bout against South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Rowdy Rebel Bulls go into the Yadkin Valley 1A/2A bout with a 5-2 record. In their last bout, South Stanly toppled Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC), 3-2, in a league bout.

The Hornets now possess a 0-6 record. They play next when they host South Davidson for a Central Carolina 1A/2A bout on Tuesday, March 22. Salisbury will confront a Wildcats squad coming off a 19-0 league win over Lexington (Lexington, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-0.
