The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC) and the host Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC), saw Union Academy's volleyball squad nip Porter Ridge by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Union Academy upgrades its record to 1-1 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Butler (Matthews, NC) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 28. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 0-2.

The Pirates now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Metrolina Christian Academy for a non-league bout on Thursday, March 23. Porter Ridge will play a Warriors squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Union Academy (Monroe, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 4-0.
