St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad edge the host Asheville Cougars (Asheville, NC), 8-7 in a league battle.

The Indians now have a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host T.C. Roberson for a NW/The Mountain/Western Foothills/Mtn. Foothills battle on Thursday, March 23. St. Stephens will clash with a Rams squad coming off a 18-5 non-league loss to Boiling Springs (Spartanburg, SC). The Rams record now stands at 7-3.

In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) in a NW/The Mountain/Western Foothills/Mtn. Foothills battle, on Thursday, March 23. Asheville will attempt to move on its 3-3 season record. The Red Tornadoes come into the battle with a 4-1 record after their 9-5 league loss to T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC).
