Anclote Sharks (Holiday, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Gibbs Gladiators (St. Petersburg, FL), 19-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Sharks now own a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host Clearwater Central Catholic for a 3A District 11 challenge on Wednesday, March 29.

With the loss, Gibbs falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Gladiators host Pinellas Park (Largo, FL) to battle the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 23. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Pinellas Park lost 17-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Osceola (Seminole, FL)
