Sweeny Bulldogs (Sweeny, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Bay City Blackcats (Bay City, TX), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now sport a 13-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to La Marque for a 4A Region IV District 26 challenge on Friday, March 24. Sweeny will face a Cougars squad coming off a 16-0 league loss to Columbia (West Columbia, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 0-7.

With the loss, Bay City falls to 6-12 on the campaign. The Blackcats host La Marque (La Marque, TX) to face the Cougars in a 4A Region IV District 26 challenge on Tuesday, March 28. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 0-7.
