Loris Lions (Loris, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Georgetown Bulldogs (Georgetown, SC), 11-10 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host Pee Dee Academy for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 23.

With the loss, Georgetown falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Aynor (Aynor, SC) to battle the Blue Jackets in a AAA Region 7 challenge on Friday, March 24. The Blue Jackets enter the challenge with a record of 12-1. Aynor won 5-0 in their recent league challenge against Waccamaw (Pawley's Island, SC)
