Tunstall Trojans (Dry Fork, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Gretna Hawks (Gretna, VA), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dan River for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 24. Tunstall will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 8-2 non-league loss to Patrick County (Stuart, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Gretna falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Hawks host William Campbell (Naruna, VA) to face the Generals in a Dogwood challenge on Monday, March 27. The Generals enter the challenge with a record of 0-4. William Campbell lost 5-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Glass (Lynchburg, VA)
