Havelock Rams (Havelock, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting South Central Falcons (Winterville, NC), 6-1 in a league challenge.

The Rams now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Northside - Jacksonville for a Big East 3A/4A challenge on Thursday, March 23. Havelock will face a Monarchs squad coming off a 19-0 league loss to New Bern (New Bern, NC). The Monarchs record now stands at 0-7.

With the loss, South Central falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Falcons host Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC) to face the Cardinals in a Big East 3A/4A challenge on Thursday, March 23. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 2-6. Jacksonville lost 9-1 in their recent league challenge against D.H. Conley (Greenville, NC)
