The Union Pines Vikings softball team scored 13 runs and limited the visiting Hoke County Bucks to 6 in the Vikings league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Union Pines improves its record to 4-4 on the year. The Vikings travel to Richmond (Rockingham, NC) to clash with the Raiders in a Sandhills 3A/4A game on Thursday, March 23. The Raiders come into the game with a record of 7-1. Richmond won 2-1 in their recent league game against Lee County (Sanford, NC)

In their next game, the Bucks clash with the Seventy-First Falcons (Fayetteville, NC) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, March 22. Hoke County will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Falcons come into the game with a 0-6 record after their 19-0 league loss to Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC).
