Patriot Pioneers (Nokesville, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad smash the visiting Unity Reed Lions (Manassas, VA), 32-0 in a league challenge.

The Pioneers now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Mountain View for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 23. Patriot will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Massaponax (Spotsylvania, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Unity Reed falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Battlefield (Haymarket, VA) to face the Bobcats in a Cedar Run challenge on Thursday, March 23. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Battlefield lost 7-2 in their recent league challenge against Freedom (South Riding, VA)
