North Carolina High School Softball - Scotland bounces Pinecrest

The Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC) softball routed the host Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC), 16-4 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Fighting Scots (6-2) will now prepare for their bout against Marlboro County (Bennettsville, SC). The Bulldogs go into the non-league bout with a 6-2 record. In their last bout, Marlboro County notched a victory over Darlington (Darlington, SC), 7-3, in a league bout.

The Patriots now possess a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Hoke County for a Sandhills 3A/4A bout on Friday, March 24. Pinecrest will confront a Bucks squad coming off a 13-6 league loss to Union Pines (Cameron, NC). The Bucks record now stands at 4-6.
