Texas High School Softball - Rio Hondo gets by Santa Rosa

The Rio Hondo Bobcats (Rio Hondo, TX) softball nipped the host Santa Rosa Warriors (Santa Rosa, TX), 4-3 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Bobcats (13-7) will now prepare for their bout against Progreso (Progreso, TX). The Red Ants go into the 3A Region IV District 32 bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Progreso was edged by Lyford (Lyford, TX), 16-0, in a league challenge.

With the loss, Santa Rosa falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Monte Alto (Monte Alto, TX) to face the Blue Devil in a 3A Region IV District 32 challenge on Friday, March 24. The Blue Devil enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
