The McDowell Titans soccer squad scored 2 points and restricted the host South Caldwell Spartans to 1 in the Titans non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Titans (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC). The Black Hawks come into the The Mountain 3A/4A battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, North Buncombe nudged Avery County (Newland, NC), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Spartans (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Watauga (Boone, NC). The Pioneers come into the Northwestern 3A/4A battle with a 6-1 record.
