South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC), 9-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Sabres face the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, March 25. South Mecklenburg will attempt to better on its 6-1 season record. The Mavericks enter the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC).

The Pumas now have a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Olympic for a So Meck 4A challenge on Tuesday, March 26. Palisades will face a Trojans team coming off a 10-1 non-league loss to West Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 1-7.
