Fort Meade Miners (Fort Meade, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hardee Wildcats (Wauchula, FL), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Miners now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Frostproof for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 2.

With the loss, Hardee falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Frostproof (Frostproof, FL) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 25. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 2-2.
