Shady Spring Tigers (Shady Spring, WV) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV), 7-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Liberty for a challenge on Wednesday, April 24.

With the loss, Nicholas County falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Grizzlies host Midland Trail (Hico, WV) to face the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 25. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
