Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Booneville Blue Devils (Booneville, MS) and the host Alcorn Central Bears (Glen, MS), witnessed Booneville's softball squad prevail over Alcorn Central by a count of 11-0.
The Blue Devils now sport a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Mantachie for a 3A Region 1 match on Tuesday, March 26. Booneville will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over West Union (Myrtle, MS). The Mustangs record now stands at 8-2.
With the loss, Alcorn Central moves to 3-12 on the season. The Bears host Kossuth (Kossuth, MS) to face the Aggies in a 3A Region 1 match on Tuesday, March 26. The Aggies go into the match with a record of 11-1.
