Poplarville Hornets (Poplarville, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Bay Tigers (Bay St. Louis, MS), 14-1 in a league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 6-9 record. They take the field next when they host Perry Central for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 26. Poplarville will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 19-7 league loss to Tylertown (Tylertown, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-14.

With the loss, Bay falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Tigers host Moss Point (Moss Point, MS) to battle the Tigers in a 4A Region 8 challenge on Friday, March 22. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 6-9. Moss Point lost 16-1 in their recent league challenge against Pass Christian (Pass Christian, MS)
