Berkeley Springs Indians (Berkeley Springs, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hancock Panthers (Hancock, MD), 11-10 in a non-league challenge.
The Indians now own a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Martinsburg for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 23. Berkeley Springs will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 16-1 league loss to Hedgesville (Hedgesville, WV). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-3.
With the loss, Hancock falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host Goretti (Hagerstown, MD) to battle the Gael in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 26. The Gael enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Goretti lost 20-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Spring Mills (Martinsburg, WV)
