Cannon County Lions (Woodbury, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Grundy County Yellowjackets (Coalmont, TN), 12-1 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Community for a 2A District 7 challenge on Friday, March 22. Cannon County will face a Vikings/Viqueens squad coming off a 7-6 non-league loss to Cornersville (Cornersville, TN). The Vikings/Viqueens record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, Grundy County falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Whitwell (Whitwell, TN) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 27. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 2-5.
