Haughton Buccaneers (Haughton, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Captain Shreve Gators (Shreveport, LA), 5-2 in a league challenge.

The Buccaneers now own a 12-10 record. They take the field next when they host Oak Grove for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 22. Haughton will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 13-0 league win over Vidalia (Vidalia, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 8-4.

With the loss, Captain Shreve falls to 12-8 on the campaign. The Gators host Summerfield (Summerfield, LA) to battle the Rebels in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 25. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 8-2.
