Forrest Rockets (Chapel Hill, TN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Cascade Champions (Wartrace, TN), 16-1 in a league challenge.

The Rockets now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Creek Wood for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 23. Forrest will face a Red Hawks squad coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Waverly Central (Waverly, TN). The Red Hawks record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Cascade falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Champions travel to Cannon County (Woodbury, TN) to meet the Lions in a 2A District 2 battle on Wednesday, April 3. The Lions go into the battle with a record of 2-6.
