Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Waterloo Cougars (Waterloo, AL) and the visiting Cherokee Indians (Cherokee, AL), witnessed Waterloo's softball squad tip Cherokee by a count of 5-4.

The Cougars now sport a 11-2 record. They play next when they travel to Tipton-Rosemark Academy for a non-league match on Saturday, March 23. Waterloo will face a Rebels squad coming off a 8-1 non-league loss to Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central (Bruceton, TN). The Rebels record now stands at 8-4.

With the loss, Cherokee moves to 14-8 on the season. The Indians travel to Colbert Heights (Tuscumbia, AL) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Friday, March 22. The Wildcats go into the match with a record of 14-1. Colbert Heights won 12-8 in their recent non-league match against Colbert County (Leighton, AL)
