Cosby Eagles (Cosby, TN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Washburn Pirates (Washburn, TN), 5-0 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Gatlinburg-Pittman for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 22.

With the loss, Washburn falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Pirates host Hancock County (Sneedville, TN) to face the Indians in a 1A District 2 challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 2-1.
