Decatur Red Raiders (Decatur, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lindsay Lane Christian Academy Lions (Athens, AL), 18-17 in a non-league challenge.
The Red Raiders now own a 6-18 record. They take the field next when they travel to Addison for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 25. Decatur will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Elberta (Elberta, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-14.
With the loss, Lindsay Lane Christian Academy falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Randolph School (Huntsville, AL) to battle the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 1-2.
