Dyer County Choctaws (Newbern, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Westview Chargers (Martin, TN), 8-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Choctaws now own a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Green Hill for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 22. Dyer County will battle a Hawks squad coming off a 7-5 non-league loss to Oakland (Murfreesboro, TN). The Hawks record now stands at 9-3.

With the loss, Westview falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Gibson County (Dyer, TN) to battle the Pioneers in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 22. The Pioneers enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Gibson County lost 4-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central (Bruceton, TN)
