Union County Yellowjackets (Union, SC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Emerald Vikings (Greenwood, SC), 23-0 in a league challenge.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Woodruff for a AAA Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, March 26. Union County will face a Wolverines squad coming off a 12-4 non-league loss to Crescent (Iva, SC). The Wolverines record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Emerald falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Brashier Middle College Charter (Simpsonville, SC) to face the Bengal in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 4. The Bengal enter the challenge with a record of 3-1.
