Franklin County Bulldogs (Meadville, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Jefferson County Tigers (Fayette, MS), 22-0 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they host Brookhaven for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 22. Franklin County will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 15-2 league win over Natchez (Natchez, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 9-7.

With the loss, Jefferson County falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Port Gibson (Port Gibson, MS) to battle the Blue Waves in a 3A Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, March 26. The Blue Waves enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Port Gibson lost 18-0 in their recent league challenge against Franklin County (Meadville, MS)
