Lawrence County Cougars (Monticello, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting McComb Tigers (McComb, MS), 16-0 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Puckett for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 25. Lawrence County will face a Wolves squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Wesson (Wesson, MS). The Wolves record now stands at 16-2.

With the loss, McComb moves to 3-7 on the season. The Tigers host Bogue Chitto (Bogue Chitto, MS) to meet the Bobcats in a non-league battle on Monday, March 25. The Bobcats go into the battle with a record of 0-3. Bogue Chitto lost 15-1 in their recent league battle against West Lincoln (Brookhaven, MS)
