Leland Chargers (San Jose, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Santa Teresa Saints (San Jose, CA), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Chargers now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Leigh for a Mount Hamilton challenge on Wednesday, March 27. Leland will battle a Longhorns squad coming off a 4-1 league win over Westmont (Campbell, CA). The Longhorns record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Santa Teresa falls to 7-3 on the campaign. The Saints travel to Willow Glen (San Jose, CA) to battle the Rams in a Mount Hamilton challenge on Wednesday, March 27. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 4-3. Willow Glen won 13-1 in their recent league challenge against Leigh (San Jose, CA)
