West Virginia High School Softball - Preston topped by Lewis County

The Lewis County Minutemen softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Preston Knights to 1 in the Minutemen league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Lewis County moves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Minutemen travel to Braxton County (Sutton, WV) to play the Eagles in a non-league game on Friday, March 22. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 1-1. Braxton County won 14-11 in their recent league game against Calhoun (Mt. Zion, WV)

In their next game, the Knights play the Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers (Buckhannon, WV) in a Big Ten game, on Friday, March 22. Preston will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Buccaneers come into the game with a 1-3 record after their 6-5 league loss to North Marion (Farmington, WV).
