The Perrydale Pirates softball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Vernonia Loggers to 3 in the Pirates league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Perrydale moves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Pirates travel to Willamina (Willamina, OR) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 2A/1A-SD1 Special District 1 game on Monday, April 1. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 1-0.

In their next game, the Loggers clash with the Colton Vikings (Colton, OR) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 22. Vernonia will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Vikings come into the game with a 2-4 record after their 18-3 non-league win over Eddyville (Eddyville, OR).
