Needville Bluejays (Needville, TX) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Columbia Roughnecks (West Columbia, TX), 9-1 in a league match.

With the triumph, Needville advances its record to 8-5 on the season. The Bluejays travel to Brazosport (Freeport, TX) to battle the Exporters in a non-league match on Tuesday, March 25. The Exporters come into the match with a record of 3-11.

The Roughnecks now have a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brazosport for a 4A Region IV District 26 match on Friday, March 28.
